DEZAIN CRUSH is a design festival and exhibition that fosters creative exchange between the German and Japanese graphic design scenes. At its core lies the idea of using design as a cultural bridge, making dialogue between the two countries both visible and tangible.
Düsseldorf, home to around 15,000 Japanese residents and the third-largest Japanese community in Europe, provides the perfect setting for this intercultural project. DEZAIN CRUSH brings together outstanding designers from Germany and Japan, showcasing the creative synergy of both design cultures in curated exhibitions.
The first edition took place in 2024 at Toykio on Immermannstraße – in the heart of Little Tokyo. The second edition was held in 2025 at the renowned NRW-Forum Düsseldorf and attracted around 4,000 visitors.

The project was jointly initiated by Morphoria, Letterpress77, and us. From curation and design to final execution, we accompanied the entire process.
